“I wish I took better care of myself”

Those words scare the hell out of me, and in a world where there is a lot that is out of our control, this is one of the big one’s that we can influence and even prevent.

I never want to have to say those words and I never want anyone else to have to say them to someone they really care about.

Looks are a major motivation that drive a lot of us to get in shape. Our looks are something that we can see, improving our body image by shedding fat or adding muscle can have an effect us immediately by the confidence it will add, and all the benefits we’ll gain from looking and feeling better about our bodies, and it’s not something that is shallow at all.

Changing my body was the driving force behind my gaining of 30+ pounds of lean muscle and counting. That decision to change my body has had a positive effect on so many aspects of my life from relationships and business, to attitude and energy, that it’s hard to count.

But besides enhancing the quality of my life today, I know it will do the same for years to come. It will keep me around, and active, longer than I would have been had I not decided to make the change to a healthier lifestyle. And besides from benefiting the quality of my life, and how I feel about myself, it’s going to keep me in the lives of the people whom I care about infinitely more than anything else in the world, including myself. Their happiness effects me more than anything else, and I’m sure you’re the same. Read the rest of this entry »

“Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.”

How do you become a confident person?

I’m talking about the confidence of knowing that you have the ability to do anything you set your mind to, or at least the willingness to give it your best shot. Read the rest of this entry »

The Balanced Life: Success

The greatest barrier to success is the fear of failure. - Sven Goran Eriksson

Everyone is tested in life, everyone has something that they want but the fear of failing is greater than the need to succeed.

I’ve done it before and I’m sure that at some point in you’re life you have as well.success_baby1

You have a goal, but then you realize just how much hard work it will take to succeed in making this dream a reality and you begin to cheat, or skip out on some of the work, or procrastinate and find something else to occupy your time.

  • Here’s an example of what I’m talking about: Your goal is to get ripped for the summer and you go 2 straight weeks without missing a workout. Then one morning you wake up feeling a little flat and you decide it won’t do much harm to skip out on just one. A week later you miss your second, a few days after that your third, you continue repeating this patter until you’re only making it to the gym a couple times a week, if that. Needless to say your goal of getting ripped by summer has taken a back seat to sleeping in every morning. Read the rest of this entry »

6 Motivational Movies

I love movies. Here are 6 of the most motivational movies of all time.

I was going to make a list of strictly motivational training movies like Rocky, but I instead chose films that can motivate you in all areas of life, they’re also some of my favorite movies.

So, here’s a list of 6 of the most inspiring movies I’ve ever seen.

If there are any other one’s please let me know, I’m sure I’ve missed a ton of them!

Life is Beautiful

Buon giorno principessa! What a great movie.

Buon giorno principessa! What a great movie.

I have so much for respect Roberto Benigni’s character in this movie. There’s no end to what he’d do for his son or for his wife. Even though he’s about to die he keeps going, keeps a smile on his face for his son and keeps his mind off what’s actually going on around him – they’re in a concentration camp during the 2nd World War.

This is inspiring on so many levels. Seeing his passion for life, the love he has for his wife, he’d do anything and everything for her. What he does for his son blows my mind, no matter how much pain he’s in or how much hatred he faces, he won’t let his son see it, for his own good.

How he makes the best out of the absolute worst situation is something that we all Read the rest of this entry »
