Why is being physically fit important to YOU?

First of all, what’s so important about physical fitness?
I know that may sound like a dumb question but to really be successful in your workouts, you first need to know why being physically fit and healthy is important for YOU.
The answer may be different for you than it is for me, ask yourself why it’s important, and keep on asking ‘why’ until you get to the emotional reason.
So, “what keeps me going to the gym?”
I’ve always been a skinny guy, never getting above 150 lbs throughout high school and college. I know what it’s like to have absolutely no confidence in how my body looked and very little confidence around the ladies.
I’ve packed on 28 lbs of lean muscle to date and I feel like a new man. It’s not that I’m always thinking about how I look, it’s the exact opposite, I think about how I look less now than I ever have in my life. I’m more confident and comfortable with who I am.

This keeps me motivated. Not so much the pic, but the difference in how I felt then compared to how I feel now.
I also see how being physically fit can translate into success in other areas of life. Socially, confidence is a big thing. If you’re just a more confident person, people can see this and feed off the energy in a good way, the opposite is true if Read the rest of this entry »
