What does the perfect body look like?

Wouldn’t it be the body that is the most pleasing to the most women? Makes sense… so that’s where we’ll focus.

The first thing a woman is going to notice about a guy is his frame. The ideal frame would be a V-shaped torso. That is: broad shoulders that taper into a thing waste. The waste then tapers out to thicker quads – thus forming an X-shaped physique.

Then there are the details: the abs, the chest, the arms, and the muscle that exists without going overboard. The perfect body is also lean, but it actually isn’t too lean. A skinny physique is by no means ideal when it comes to attracting the opposite sex, trust me! I’ve been there and it’s useless.

A pro bodybuilder also doesn’t have the ideal physique from an aesthetic or performance standpoint. They’re just too far on that end of the spectrum. Girls don’t like that much muscle, or that much vascularity.

What does the perfect body perform like?

Building Your Arsenal – Athletic Power (Free Workout)

Posted: October 25th, 2010 | Author: | Filed under: Boxing, Challenge Workout | Tags: , , , , , , | 1 Comment »

When people talk about a complete, well-rounded fighter, they say “he has a lot of weapons in his arsenal.” But the same can apply to us ‘normal’ guys as well. We also want to be well-rounded, not just having muscle, but lean and athletic muscle. Not just having power, but power that lasts. And not just being in great shape, but being great Dad’s, boyfriend’s, and friends.

You don’t have to be an elite athlete to do the training in the video. Your goal doesn’t just have to be building athletic power – although it will be a side-effect. If you’re looking to build LEAN muscle, or get shredded while improving your athleticism, this type of training is a great method to implement into your routine.

The Breakdown

  • Circuits of 3 exercises focusing on building power and strength. I added a weight vest with 45 pounds in it for a bit of added resistance, which I suggest doing if you have access to one and you need the added resistance. Complete each circuit 3 times with 45-60 seconds rest in between each set. Read the rest of this entry »

10 Minute Abs Shredding Workout

Here’s the 10 Minute Abs Shredding Workout I promised if you guys got up 25 comments on the “Build the Ideal Body: for Women” article. Thanks for chiming in, very much appreciated.

The Workout:

One part of developing defined, lean, athletic-looking 6-pack abs, is building the abdominal muscles. The second part to that equation is burning the layer of fat that they’re hiding behind.

Here’s a workout that will accomplish both, and in less that 10 minutes.

The set-up

Complete the full circuit 3 times. Each abs exercise for 10 reps, followed by each belly fat burning cardio exercise for 30 seconds.

Good Things Happen in the Extra Mile

Good things happen in the extra mile, just ask Rocky Balboa.

I’m sure we’ve all heard the phrase, “go the extra mile.” Well there’s a reason why people say it. Good things happen in the extra mile, when you put that extra bit of work in, no matter what we’re talking about; whether it be our careers, with our families, girlfriends, boyfriends, and of course, in our training.

Successful people in any area of life are always the ones who put the most quality work into what they’re working towards. If you want a better family life, spend more quality time with your family. Go that extra mile in the stuff you care about, and in the dreams you’re trying to make a reality.

It’s not always how much, but the quality of the time you’re putting in…

I used to spend a lot of time in the gym, but I was doing all the wrong stuff. I spent at least double the amount of time working out before, than I do now, but I’m getting infinitely better results now, spending less time training, doing the right things at the highest level possible.

A few things I changed:

the Secret to Athletic-Looking Shoulders: FREE Workout

One of the secrets to building an athletic-looking and an athletic physique in general is single-arm training. Many of the movements we perform in athletics involve using one arm, or one leg at a time such as punching, kicking, shooting a basketball, throwing a football or baseball etc…

I’m not saying get rid of your conventional exercises by any means, but supplementing some single arm pushes into a shoulders for example, can help correct imbalances and give your routine some much needed variety.

In the video I have some “performance-focused” exercises and some bodybuilding exercises, but each – more or less – hit two birds with one stone, both improving lean muscle gains and performance at the same time.
