Men are far different beasts than our women counterparts. We’re less likely to visit the doctor and exercise, and yet we suffer from more health problems and we die at a younger age. We’re stubborn animals that are made-up of some dramatically different hormones that our environment seems to be hard at work on diminishing (see ‘Testosterone Article‘).

Men think differently than women. We train different, and we should be eating in a different way. Where the fitness industry spends a lot of time focusing on women, we’re going to go over 50 facts about men’s fitness. I’m not only showing you scary stats and problems with how we eat and train, but providing a solution wherever a problem arises.

Warren Buffett made a load of money. Now he’s giving away more than anyone has ever given away. He focused on being great at something he was passionate about before he thought about helping others. His impact will be massive, and long-lasting as a result. Something to think about.

Life is short. But very few of us ever live in a way that shows an understanding of this fact, or the fact that we are gong to die sometime in the relatively near future.

Instead, we act like we have all the time in the world, and it shows in our priorities and what we do on a daily basis. Then you talk about someone in their 70′s or 80′s and they think about their Legacy. They speak with a sense of urgency about what their life will mean after they’re gone. Their decisions show this. Our decisions don’t.

Why did I do what I did today?

We spend so much of our lives doing what’s expected of us. We spend so little time thinking about our Legacy and what our life will mean after we’re gone. Our days lack passion, excitement, and purpose. But there are also very simple ways to cure this, and that’s what we’re going to discuss in this article. Read the rest of this entry »

A few weeks ago I sent out an email asking if you had any questions regarding training, nutrition, or even motivation and work. If you didn’t get the email, here’s how to get in the mix and become a part of something awesome, and get some cool free stuff too: The Real Thor Workout

The response was huge. A lot of emails and great questions came flooding in and there were some really great questions as well. And I really appreciate the massive response. Many were similar, which makes sense as we struggle from a lot of the same things. So if you don’t read your specific question on the blog, you will see one that’s very similar.

There were too many to answer in one blog post, so we’ll have to break it up into a series.

If you didn’t get a chance to send a question, please ask it in the comments section, I’ll answer all of them.

So here we go. Read the rest of this entry »

“Every man dies. But not every man really lives.” William Wallace

William Wallace was a warrior. He was a man who not only spoke those words, but lived them. When you look at his story, it isn’t one of constant triumph, comfort, or safety. It’s a life filled with betrayal, pain, suffering, and sacrifice.

He had an incredibly hard and unjust life. But it was a great life. Even though his life wasn’t easy, it was one that was lived in the truest sense of the word. Moments of pain, fear, and uncertainty are often when we feel most alive. It’s where we learn the most and grow the most.

Although we go through periods that seem unbearable, there is always a reason. That is of course, if we choose to find it.

We’re all going to experience our fair share of pain and suffering, that’s just how life is. Instead of wishing we were somewhere else or someone else, appreciate it. Learn from it. And find a purpose to the struggle.

This article identifies 5 tough life situations that many would put in the “curse” column, but I argue that they hold more benefit to us than any triumph or amount of success. Read on to find out why. Read the rest of this entry »
