Does Jessica Alba have the ideal body? Tell me in the comments section who does!

The majority of the people visiting this site are guys, but there are a good number of ladies who partake in the comments, email me questions and so forth as well, so I figured it was about time to give the ladies an article.

The thing is, if you guys get 25 comments (not including my responses) on this blog post I’m going to give you a 10-minute Abs Shredding workout – the same one we missed by just a few comments last Friday. I have two questions, 1 for the ladies visiting the site, the other for the fellas:

Ladies: What’s your ideal body for a guy look like?

Guys: What does your ideal body for a girl look like?

Be specific. Ladies, do you like seeing massive amounts of muscle on a guy, or lean, athletic-looking muscle? Guys, do you look for a flat stomach or do you like seeing a bit of abs on a lady?

Building the Ideal Body: for Women

Many of the tips I share with guys, about building the ideal body actually apply to women as well. Things like lifting the right weights, doing the right cardio, and eating the right foods all apply. But a few things do differ…

What does the ideal body for a woman look like?

In the large number of guys I talked to in preparation for this article, there were a few similarities in their answers. Some guys liked seeing a girl with a six-pack, but most just liked a flat, toned stomach. Guys also like a girl’s body to be athletic-looking, but not necessarily muscular at all, and thin, but not too thin.

The main answer was something like this: “I like seeing a girl who looks like she’s in good shape, nothing crazy or too intense. Just toned to a degree, and healthily-thin.”

Here are a few tips to you the women visiting this site build their ideal body:

1. Add weights to your routine.

The number one thing holding women back from building their ideal body, is a fear of putting on too much muscle. Girls hear the word “weights” and immediately think of bodybuilders on steroids. They think they’re going to turn into massive mounds of muscle - I kid, but you get the idea? Well ladies, it’s not that easy to get that big.

Weights are seen as a method of training to get big and muscular, when in reality it’ll help you lose fat more-so than just doing cardio. The one thing that women are missing, actually two things, are testosterone and human growth hormone (HGH). Those two hormones are two big reasons why guys are naturally bigger, and are able to put on more muscle – we have much higher levels of each.

Women don’t have to worry about looking too big, or muscular by adding a simple weight routine in because they don’t possess either of these powerful hormones in high amounts.

Another thing: Doing a resistance routine helps strengthen bones and prevent osteoporosis. So, not only should women be doing some weights to tone up, but also for your health!

2. HIIT beats long, steady-state cardio.

Walking is great, the more steps you take in the run of a day, the better. If you can drive, or walk somewhere, always choose to walk.

But as far as getting the most bang for your buck, High Intensity Interval Training gives you a better bang for your buck than going for a long run. Holding on to muscle will give you a more toned look, which is what HIIT will help you achieve.

3. Eat bigger meals, more often, with less calories.

The number one thing you need on your side for fat loss, and for building a more “toned” body is a healthy metabolism. Getting in the weight room will help you do this, as well HIIT, but eating bigger meals, that have fewer calories, more often, will also be a big contributing factor to a healthy metabolism.

What do I mean by “bigger meals?”

Your meals should be HUGE! Change your carbohydrates to fruits and vegetables and eat a lot of them. Also have a source of lean protein with each meal as well. This can come in the form of fish, lean red meat, chicken breast, turkey, or even eggs and egg whites.

Also add more fats to your diet. Up your intake of monounsaturated fats found in avocado, almonds, certain oils: including fish oils and olive oil. “Good fats” give your metabolism a big boost and help you burn the fat that your body stores.

Eat 3 big meals a day, with 3 smaller snacks. Have a source of lean protein, good fats, and good carbs in each meal (could be by supplement as well).
